ETF Audience Lead

Solugenix is assisting a client, a prestigious and large investment management company, in their search for an ETF Audience Lead. This is a 6-month contract opportunity based out of Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid).
The ETF Audience Growth lead is responsible (along with the audience senior manager) for developing the marketing strategy to grow penetration of our ETFs and build an association of the client's brand as a leading ETF provider. This role is focused on expanding our audience of ETF sellers and thus a very close relationship will be required with both sales and our insights & analytics teams to identify business opportunities. Within this role, it is expected that a solid understanding of our clients, the industry and the competitive landscape will be developed so that this individual can design and lead successful marketing campaigns - that deliver measurable growth in ETF penetration.
With a strong grasp of both quantitative analytics and qualitative insights, this role involves developing a deep understanding of the ETF industry and target audience, building hypotheses and then testing strategies to grow engagement with different audience segments. Sharing these insights and influencing the direction of marketing within the organization is a key part of this role. The successful candidate should be skilled at building relationships across the enterprise, leading cross-functional teams through influence and writing influential briefs and business cases in service of growing the ETF business.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10+ years of marketing experience across a variety of disciplines. ETF industry experience is a plus.
- A proven grasp of insight and analytics expertise - skilled at spotting trends and communicating pertinent insights
- Experience in marketing strategy and execution, including proven success with lead gen/media campaigns and a history of working well with creative functions
- Preferred - A proven track record of developing and executing insights-driven marketing plans that contribute to the delivery of business outcomes. Highly effective within an entrepreneurial and start-up environment and the ability to navigate ambiguity with ease.
- Solid grasp of how to translate business objectives into Marketing and Sales programs that achieve both short-term and long-term goals.
- Strong skills in strategy development and content execution across the marketing mix including research, consumer insights, communications, innovation/product/concept development, advertising, PR and trade/customer marketing.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across functional teams to achieve business goals.
- Demonstrate the ability to influence others. Effective in leading a variety of meetings with an executive presence and demonstrated a track record of partnering with senior business leaders.
- Experience working in an Agile environment would be a plus, as well as expertise in brand management and digital marketing.
- Develop and drive the strategy and execution of projects that help achieve the client's ETF business objectives, including a client-focused acquisition & growth plan.
- Gain a deep understanding of the needs and preferences of the various audience segments, as well as a strong technical grounding in the distinguishing characteristics of our products and services, to enable the creation and deployment of effective marketing strategies that differentiate our ETF offerings.
- Serve as key point person for the marketing team with designated stakeholders for the relevant product areas across product, sales, service and other marketing functions. Manage regular interactions with stakeholders and a well-defined intake process for business requests governed by overall business goals.
- Lead the development and execution of differentiated effective and break-through communications across multiple digital channels with a focus on lead generation and digital identity.
- Partner with external agencies, internal senior marketing and digital leaders to develop optimal execution of ETF campaigns in line with annual and long-term business plans.
- Manage the client experience at industry conferences, and key in-person & digital events to build the client's brand and provide ETF education to financial intermediaries.
- Develop comprehensive program briefs that clearly outline business objectives, competitive insights and requirements for 3rd party and internal partners to develop successful campaigns.
- Provide content for the development of long-term business cases to fund key growth marketing initiatives. Provide oversight of assigned budgets to ensure alignment of spending to business goals.
- Track the impact of product marketing activities against defined success metrics. The Initiative Manager is jointly accountable for the achievement of the team's overall scorecard goals.
- Provide overall guidance and workflow management to other marketing associates within the pod sub-team.
Pay Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC: $80/hour to $80/hour. Starting rate of pay offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
