Job Details
We are seeking a Sr. IT Manager to oversee the day-to-day management, configuration, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, including Microsoft applications, phone systems, equipment inventory, new user setups, and overall support of the TMS platform/integrations.
***Onsite to start in Waukegan or Chicago office locations***
Qualifications:
- Installation and configuration of Office 365 tenant accounts.
- Configuration and management of Azure VM and Azure Active Directory.
- As an administrator, provide end-user support for Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory/Azure Active Directory, SharePoint, Exchange Online, and other core Microsoft technologies.
- Ability to manage policies and devices using Intune
- Responsible for networking configuration and support for Cisco Meraki switches and firewalls. o Manage and maintain the company's phone system, ensuring reliable communication services.
- Oversee inventory management of IT equipment including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Prepare and deploy computers for new hires, including system imaging, software configuration, and onboarding support.
- Understand McLeod software and serve as a support resource to troubleshoot and resolve tickets in a timely manner while providing resolutions for internal employee requests/issues.
- Handle complex issues and escalations independently with the ability to pull in other Support Team members as needed.
- Assist in system configuration and employee onboarding/offboarding support as required.
- Build, maintain, and grow relationships with TMS contacts.
- Participate in the planning, organization, and management of certain technology integration projects from beginning to completion.
- Assist in the training of team members to ensure the implementation and adoption of technology is successful for each department.
- Engage with various internal teams regarding support, training, and new technology implementation. It is critical this is executed with a service mindset, creating a positive customer support experience ensuring timely resolution to open issues.
- Utilize transportation and logistics specific platforms and networks to stay connected with changes and trends happening in the industry.
- Stay current on technology trends in logistics and IT, attending relevant webinars, conferences, and workshops. Participate in occasional after-hours maintenance or support as required
- Train internal users on technology best practices, ensuring smooth adoption and optimal use of systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- 4 + years Project Management experience, including proven and effective communication and follow-up skills.
- 2+ years support experience, including help/service desk or technical support related experience.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment with ability to take the lead on more complex/open ended issues.
- Experienced with troubleshooting issues with proven technical, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Capable of training team members across different departments and skill levels.
- Competency in MS office Suite & Windows 10,11 operating systems.
- Familiarity with RPA, API, and EDI platforms as well as other automation related technological concepts.
- Exposure and working knowledge of Transportation & Logistics industry a plus.
