Overview
We're seeking an experienced Telecom Project Manager to lead complex fiber optic infrastructure projects. This is not an entry-level role-candidates must have telecom experience AND proven management experience to be considered. You will oversee multiple construction managers, coordinate field operations, and ensure successful delivery of underground fiber builds. Strong leadership, organizational skills, and technical expertise are essential.

Career Path Context
This role represents the top tier in a structured progression:
OSP Inspector ? OSP Construction Manager ? Telecom Project Manager
We are specifically looking for someone who has already managed teams and projects at scale, not someone making their first move into management.

Strategic Initiative
This position is part of a major initiative to expand fiber infrastructure to support new data centers being built across the region. You will play a critical role in ensuring underground fiber routes are delivered on time and to spec, enabling connectivity for these high-demand sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and oversight for multiple construction managers and field teams.
  • Manage underground fiber construction projects, including directional drilling and related methods.
  • Coordinate field operations, inspectors, and remote teams to maintain quality and compliance.
  • Prepare and analyze reports using advanced Excel and GIS tools (ESRI).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for municipalities and high-profile clients.
  • Drive process improvements and contribute to team growth initiatives.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of project management experience in telecom (fiber builds, OSP, or similar).
  • Proven experience managing teams and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel; experience with ESRI, IQ GEO, and GIS tools is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and professionalism when interacting with strategic clients.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Enthusiastic about innovation and continuous improvement.

If you do not have telecom experience and prior management experience, please do not apply.

Employee Value Proposition
This is a high-impact opportunity to lead cutting-edge fiber infrastructure projects with a company that values innovation and field leadership. You'll enjoy remote flexibility, autonomy in managing builds, and a clear path to long-term leadership roles.

Work Environment
A dynamic mix of remote and field-based work. You'll actively oversee underground fiber construction projects, coordinate with field teams, and manage daily operations.

Why This Role Is Open
Due to rapid growth and multiple new builds, the organization requires senior-level project managers to provide oversight and leadership across construction teams.
