Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience). Requires an additional 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time from hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

General Dynamics Mission Systems - Progeny Systems is a high-tech business focusing on software and hardware system integration, cutting-edge research and development, and manufacturing. We provide premium systems, services, and products for the Department of Defense, government agencies and commercial clients.

Seeking a Senior Engineer Planner Specialistto become a Development Engineering Planner dedicated to the development of military-grade electronics for the Common Weapon Launcher (CWL) system.
What you'll experience:
  • Work within the Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) system to complete documentation moving the design closer to production
  • Work with Design Engineering to understand demand, set buildable structures into our Enterprise Resource Planning system (IFS), and create shop orders
  • Point of contact for Design Engineering to IFS, parts ordering, vendor communications, and status
What you bring to the table:
  • A Bachelor's of Science or Technology degree, a related specialized area or field (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree
  • Demonstrate narrowly focused in-depth technical level of practical operational process knowledge in a specific engineering area
  • Demonstrate technical competence in the setup, monitoring and documentation of experiments and/or lab equipment
