Job Description: Malbek CLM Functional Architect

Location: California Irvine/ Milpitas/ (Hybrid/Onsite flexibility based on project needs)
Employment Type: Contract/ Contract to hire

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Malbek CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) Functional Architect to lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Malbek s CLM platform across enterprise environments. This role requires strong expertise in CLM functional architecture, contract management processes, and the ability to bridge business needs with technical solutions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Procurement, Sales, IT, and external vendors, to deliver scalable and compliant contract solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary functional lead and subject matter expert for Malbek CLM implementations.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for contract lifecycle management processes.
  • Define and design scalable CLM functional architecture, workflows, templates, metadata, and approval processes.
  • Lead end-to-end implementation of Malbek CLM, including configuration, testing, deployment, and user adoption.
  • Translate legal and business needs into system configurations that align with compliance and operational requirements.
  • Integrate Malbek CLM with enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, eSignature, etc.) in coordination with technical architects.
  • Provide training, documentation, and support for end-users and administrators.
  • Drive process improvements and best practices for contract lifecycle automation, reporting, and governance.
  • Ensure solutions meet regulatory, compliance, and security standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field (MBA or equivalent is a plus).
  • 7+ years of functional/solution architecture experience in CLM or enterprise contract management platforms.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Malbek CLM (design, configuration, implementation).
  • Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management processes (authoring, negotiation, approvals, obligations, renewals).
  • Experience integrating CLM with enterprise applications (Salesforce, SAP/Oracle ERP, DocuSign, Adobe Sign, etc.).
  • Proven ability to lead workshops, requirement sessions, and solution design discussions with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills

  • Malbek CLM certification(s) or equivalent functional expertise.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, technology, or financial services industries where contract compliance is critical.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven contract analytics, clause libraries, and obligation management.
  • Prior consulting or system integration background is highly desirable.
