The Work

In your role as a Lead Radar Systems Engineer, you will:
Provide guidance and leadership for radar program execution.
Navigate major program milestones for modern fixed site and/or surface naval radars.
Develop radar development schedules, identify critical paths, develop integration plans, provide cost estimates, facilitate team development, and develop risk mitigation plans.
Support the planning and execution of development and integration activities; working with systems, software, and hardware teams to coordinate schedules.
Lead design reviews, system demos, flight tests, element and system level verification activities, and system certification.
Execute integration and test activities, evaluate test results, investigate discrepancies, technically assess anomalies, and drive them to resolution.
Represent the organization on contracts and interface with internal and external customers, program and senior leadership, and multidisciplinary engineering teams on significant technical matters.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or technology related field with 9 years of professional experience, or a Master's degree in engineering, science, or technology with 7 years of professional experience.
Radar system design/development experience, including signal processing, algorithms, software, data analysis or modeling & simulation
Demonstrated success in leading execution of radar systems or subsystems teams.
Strong technical leadership skills with demonstrated ability to plan, track and execute engineering tasks to meet program objectives
Qualified candidate must be able to obtain & maintain a secret security clearance. Obtaining a security clearance requires ship.

Desired skills

Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics or equivalent.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to complete technical objectives on schedule and within budget.
Direct interactions with Military, MDA or foreign government customers in a leadership role.
Prior experience with and working knowledge of Aegis Weapons System.
Prior experience with and working knowledge of Electronic Attack and Electronic Protection within the context of Radar Systems.
Experience managing program budget and schedule constraints, including control account management.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
