The Opportunity:

Fisher Investments is looking for a Solutions Architect - Data to design and provide modern data solutions using cloud-based platforms and AI-driven innovations. You will partner with business, technology, and governance teams to ensure scalable, secure and compliant data platforms that power advanced analytics and AI. You will report to the Vice President, Enterprise Data Management.

The Day-to-Day:

• Design and implement enterprise-scale data solutions on Azure (Data Lake, Synapse, Databricks, Fabric, Purview)
• Architect data ingestion, integration, transformation, storage and usage for structured and unstructured data
• Define reference architecture, patterns, and best practices for data solutions across the enterprise
• Partner with stakeholders across business, technology, risk, and compliance teams to align solutions with enterprise goals
• Ensure compliance with governance, privacy, and security requirements
• Ensure solutions comply with data quality, lineage, cataloging, and metadata management standards
• Incorporate regulatory, privacy, and security requirements (GDPR, SOX) into solution design
• Promote best practices for master data management, reference data, and data stewardship
• Mentor teams and promote data architecture and data development excellence
• Introduce new technologies and practices that drive data modernization and AI enablement

Your Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering or solution architecture with strong expertise in Azure data services
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure Data Platform services (Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Fabric, Azure Purview)
• Deep knowledge of data modeling, data integration and analytics patterns
• Proven experience delivering data solutions in financial services or regulated industries
• Experience with cloud-native CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
• Familiarity with Cipher query language, implementing data models using graph databases, data mesh, data fabric and domain-driven design patterns
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field

Compensation:

• $150,000 - $200,000 base salary per year in the state of WA. New hires should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience
• Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance
