The Secure Processing Solutions (SPS) department within Collins Aerospace is responsible for the design, test and certification of cross domain technologies and cryptographic products which equip our warfighters to thrive in today's multi-domain battlespace. Our department collaborates with portfolio teams across the organization to help capture new business and create security hardened solutions that address our customers' demanding needs.

The SPS Systems Integration and Test Engineering team is seeking a Senior Principal Integration & Test Engineer who has a passion for innovation and the drive to see new technology and capability matured into fielded solutions. This role will contribute to a team that is responsible for systems integration and cyber security engineering tasks related to our next generation security enabled mission computing, crypto, and cross domain technologies, maturing product from low TRL through program of record accreditation and factory production. No need to be an established subject matter expert, we are looking for talented individuals that love to problem solve and have a desire to grow and gain exposure to new skills. This position is located onsite in Fullerton, CA and requires an active/current DoD Secret security clearance.

What YOU will do:
  • You will work closely with a highly motivated and dedicated team of professionals and other internal/external stakeholders while integrating and testing the system engineering design and development activities for our Cross Domain Solutions product.
  • You will participate in the system integration, functional and or security level testing and help ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer requirements into system / subsystem designs that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • You will use personal experience and best practices to identify and actively manage issues, risk, and opportunities to drive team and project success.
  • You will participate in and facilitate Agile team ceremonies, Agile sprint reviews, user story refinement and end of sprint product demos.
  • You will participate in a Systems Engineering Scrum Master or Product Owner rotation and contribute to the development and cadence of AGILE execution plans.
  • You will have the opportunity to lead the technical and operational conversations with program team and external customers.
  • You will actively mentor other engineers in the department and assist with onboard and training.
  • You will work to develop, maintain, and execute all related critical program ceremonies, documentation, and design.
  • You will have experience working multiple projects and being responsible for multiple concurrent project milestones with overlapping deadlines.
  • You will be expected to travel up to 10% domestically.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Experience with performing secure system and subsystem integration, requirements verification and validation, technical risk management, interface definition, integration and test, and discipline level management.
  • Experience using the Atlassian resource suite, specifically: Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with Agile development methodology
  • Experience with SW tool creation (C, RUST is preferred)
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
  • Active and transferable DoD Secret U.S. government issued secruity clearance is required prior to start date

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering concepts and tools
  • Systems engineering experience executing development of security hardened systems/products within a classified development environment.
  • Systems experience in platform certifications as it pertains to secure communications applications
  • Ability to take on visible leadership role such as Scrum Master or Product Owner
  • Background and/or knowledge of Cross Domain Solutions and NCDSMO Raise-The-Bar

The salary range for this role is 137,000 USD - 275,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
