Job Details
Job Summary We are seeking a highly seasoned and strategic Lead Marketo Architect to design, define, and execute enterprise-level architecture for the Adobe Marketo Engage platform. With 1517 years of deep experience in MarTech and Marketo, this role requires strong leadership, architectural vision, and technical expertise to ensure the Marketo ecosystem remains scalable, secure, compliant, and tightly integrated with the broader go-to-market (GTM) technology stack. The ideal candidate will translate complex business strategies into a high-performing, future-ready marketing automation infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Design and maintain the enterprise-level technical architecture for Adobe Marketo Engage, ensuring scalability, performance, data hygiene, and security. Define and lead integration strategy for complex, bidirectional data flows across CRM platforms (Salesforce/MS Dynamics), CMS, data warehouses, and additional MarTech tools such as Vidyard and Workfront. Drive integrations using APIs, webhooks, and middleware tools like Mulesoft and Tray.io. Oversee advanced Marketo configuration and governance, including campaign architecture, program templates, lead scoring, attribution modeling, segmentation, and regulatory compliance (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA). Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement optimization strategies for deliverability, processing speeds, and campaign efficiency. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Marketo Admins and Specialists, serving as the architectural authority for all Marketo-related decisions. Collaborate with senior leadership to define a 35 year strategic roadmap for marketing automation and evaluate emerging capabilities and tools. Create technical specifications, architectural diagrams, documentation, and define UAT strategy while overseeing end-to-end testing of new deployments. Required Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field. 1517 years of experience in marketing technology, solution architecture, or data architecture with strong B2B enterprise focus. 10+ years of hands-on, expert-level experience as a Marketo Architect. 8+ years of experience with Marketo Skyliner architecture principles, configuration, and platform limits. 8+ years of experience in API development/management, data modeling, SQL, and database concepts. 8+ years of experience integrating CRM platforms (Salesforce/MS Dynamics) from a data synchronization and architecture perspective. 5+ years of experience with front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Proven experience leading technical teams and contributing to strategic architectural decisions. Strong communication, presentation, problem-solving, and stakeholder-influencing skills. Ability to manage and deliver multiple complex initiatives simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications Experience developing long-term strategic technology roadmaps. Experience with third-party middleware platforms (e.g., Mulesoft, Tray.io). Experience supporting large-scale enterprise marketing automation transformations. Certifications Adobe Certified Master Marketo Engage Architect (Required) PMP or TOGAF (Preferred) Education: Bachelors Degree Certification: Adobe Certified Master Marketo Engage Architect , Project Management Professional , TOGAF
