Position Description:

• Develop and maintain reusable software components for product developers.
• Design, implement, integrate, and maintain platform infrastructure and software applications.

Skills Required:

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to design platform infrastructure (servers, networks, storage, databases, cloud services).
• Implement and manage infrastructure, including upgrades, security patches, and performance improvements.
• Evaluate cloud providers, container solutions, and create reusable configurations for application teams.
• Write and execute automated Infrastructure as Code scripts; use CI/CD for consistent provisioning.
• Integrate performance and monitoring practices (QoS, SLA) for scalable platform services.
• Apply security and disaster recovery best practices (access control, identity management, logging, encryption, backups).
• Integrate enterprise configurations into deployment pipelines following best practices.
• Collect feedback to improve and evolve the platform.

Experience Required:

• 6+ years in IT; 4+ years in development
• Practical in 2 coding languages or advanced in 1

Education Required:

• Associate Degree or College Senior

Education Preferred:

• Certification Program or Bachelor s Degree

Additional Information / Responsibilities:

• Conduct capacity planning and forecasting for the OpenShift Virtualization platform, including compute, memory, storage, and network resources.
• Analyze resource utilization trends; recommend infrastructure scaling, consolidation, or optimization.
• Collaborate with application teams and stakeholders to understand future demand and project capacity needs.
• Develop and maintain capacity models and reports to support strategic planning.
• Develop automation solutions (scripts, playbooks) for repetitive OSV tasks, including configuration changes, VM management, auditing, remediation, and ticketing system integration.
• Use automation to deliver operator updates and changes efficiently at scale.
• Implement Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to improve platform stability, performance, and operational efficiency.
• Deploy Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and perform auditing.
• Manage namespaces and resource quotas.
• Implement and maintain end-to-end observability solutions (monitoring, logging, tracing), integrating tools like Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Explore and implement Event Driven Architecture (EDA) for real-time monitoring and response.
• Develop capabilities to flag and report abnormalities and identify blind spots in observability.
• Perform deep dive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to quickly identify and resolve issues in the global compute environment.
• Monitor VM health, resource usage, and performance metrics proactively.
• Monitor for unusual activity indicating compromise or misconfiguration.
• Contribute to solution design, consulting, and knowledge management.
