Position: Systems Op Administrator
Location: Remote - must work EST hours
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 12 months to start
Job Description
Responsible for the day-to-day support and maintenance of the client's EIM (Enterprise Information Management) technology stack.

Product support includes but not limited to:

  • DB2 (bridging the gap between developer/engineers and DBAs)
  • SAP (Business Objects) Data Services BODI (primary ETL/Integration tool)
  • Informatica (PowerCenter, PowerExchange, and IICS)
  • WebFOCUS

Support responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Features & usage
  • Setup/Configuration; Administration; Upgrades
  • Coaching/Assisting developers with design & implementation
  • Vendor escalation, i.e. open support cases
  • User administration
  • Code Management (Promotes, Versioning, Build CI/CD workflow & tools)

Core Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day-to-day support and maintenance of the client's EIM (Enterprise Information Management) technology stack. Including responsibility for production batch cycle and multiple test region support. Running SQL/data queries, Troubleshooting and determining upstream and downstream impacts.
  • Plans and coordinates code management, including promotions, versioning and building CI/CD workflow & tools. Reviews recent test runs for completeness and correctness; resolves issues and arranges remediation as needed.
  • Assists the Manager of Environment Scheduling and Mainframe Operations in managing technical vendor relations for the functions he/she is responsible for; assists with vendor identification and selection, contract negotiation and statement of work (SOW) reviews.
  • Adheres to client policy, process and procedures and proactively seeks opportunities to enhance existing ITIL processes (service requests, incident & problem management, change management, etc.). Assists in the development of and refines process and procedures specific to functional responsibilities and contributes to formulation of operational and tactical plans related to the functions he/she is responsible for.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned/required, including but not limited to:
  • On-call responsibility for production batch cycle and multiple test regions

  • WebFOCUS
  • Enterprise job scheduling: CA Workload Automation ESP Edition
  • Talend experience coding and design
  • This thought process can be translated to any ETL tool.

  • Experience with Microsoft Products: i.e. O365, Office Suite, Server, Active Directory, SharePoint, Azure, etc.

Education and Experience Qualifications
Required:

  • BS or BA in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and/or equivalent combination of experience and training
  • 5- 8 years of IT experience including project management supporting Non-Prod Environments

Preferred:

  • ITIL Foundation certificate and experience desired
