No 3rd part vendors. Onsite - Ft. Worth, TX. Duration: 12+ Month Contract - Schedule: Monday to Friday, 1st Shift
We are seeking a Network Engineer II Staging Technician to support our Optical and Managed Services team at a new Distribution Center. This is a hands-on technical role ideal for professionals experienced in configuring, testing, and preparing network equipment for deployment across multiple sites within the region.
Equipment You'll Work With:
- Routers & Switches: Juniper MX960, Cisco ASR/ISR, Cisco Meraki
- Optical & Transport: Ciena 6500, ADVA, ALU
- Security: Fortinet
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with network hardware staging or installation.
- Familiarity with major OEM network equipment (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, etc.).
- Ability to follow detailed provisioning and configuration documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse/data center environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and process network equipment inventory.
- Configure, test, and stage devices for outbound shipment.
- Perform rack and stack activities to prepare gear for field deployment and site installation.
- Handle inbound shipments of core and managed services gear.
- Load operating systems and configuration files.
- Conduct power burn-in and provisioning validation.
- Prepare and document gear for outbound shipping.
