We have an exciting remote opportunity for a highly skilled Digital Technology SAP Material Resource Planning (MRP) Solution Architect.
What You Will Do:
This position is responsible for the design, configuration, testing and implementation of system solutions that support our SAP Material Resource Planning (MRP) processes.
The individual will be responsible for managing and designing MRP system solutions in SAP that are reusable and scalable across business units and global operations.
In this role, the candidate will architect and operationalize MRP capabilities to support the implementation/enhancement of SAP MRP processes and an enterprise software solution.
The scope will include implementation and enhancing MRP settings such as lead times, safety stocks, time fences to support make-to-stock and make-to-order manufacturing strategies.
The candidate will be an integral team member for large- and small-scale MRP solution implementations as well as supporting existing SAP MRP solutions.
In this position, you will use your technical background to develop solutions to complex issues and propose recommendations for strategic changes to our landscape that will improve the reliability and accuracy of existing applications. This position will require a high degree of collaboration across different teams to develop and execute DT solutions.
The individual selected for this role will work with internal teams as well as external partners including outsources and technology application vendors. This position requires hands-on experience in advanced planning tools, and integration knowledge with SAP and non-SAP transactional systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Defining the overall structure and components of SAP MRP system.
- Developing and providing input to influence strategic business roadmaps for MRP (Material Resource Planning).
- Supporting the deployment of the SAP S/4HANA MRP solution, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- Leading the configuration and deployment of MRP solutions, including integration with other platforms like PLM, MES, APO and Kinaxis systems.
- Tuning MRP parameters (lead times, safety stock, time fences) to align with manufacturing strategies such as make-to-stock, make-to-order.
- Actively participate in software architecture and design, process improvement, document and communicate design specifications and details to other team members.
- Partnering with various teams (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, etc.) to document and optimize core business processes related to production and supply chain.
- Continuously improving system configuration and business processes based on evolving needs and industry best practices.
- Play a direct role in programming, maintenance, technical support, documentation and administration of SAP MRP applications.
- Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges.
- Provide technical and functional expertise to ensure MRP solutions meet business objectives, are reliable and scalable.
- Drive successful implementation of projects to achieve proposed benefits by utilizing organizational change-management skills.
- Drive innovation and act as a change-agent.
- Lead continuous improvement activities to improve application performance, quality and reliability.
- Ensure production applications meet agreed upon service level expectations.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information System, Information Technology, or related technical field and 10+ years of hands on applicable work experience; OR an Advanced degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related technical field and 7+ years of hands on applicable work experience.
- Strong functional and technical knowledge of SAP MRP, Production Planning, and MM Modules.
- Knowledge of production planning, inventory management, procurement, and related business processes.
- Proven experience implementing and scaling ERP systems including specific modules related to manufacturing and supply chain.
- Ability to integrate the MRP system with other enterprise systems (PLM and MES).
- Extensive experience with ABAP programming and debugging in MM (Material Master), MRP (Material Resource Planning), PP (Production Planning) modules of SAP.
- Experience with complex batch job scheduling.
- Experience with business strategy skills including strategy development.
- Experience with agile and waterfall software development methodologies.
- Demonstrated proficiency with software development lifecycle processes.
- Ability to work effectively across various levels of the organization.
- Attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
- Strong time management skills and efficient in multi-tasking.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to demonstrate leadership capabilities.
- Individual must be highly motivated, self-driven and proactive on assignments.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Master's Degree.
- Technical and functional experience in S/4 HANA implementation.
- Technical experience and working knowledge in APO and Kinaxis.
