As a crucial member of our client's team, you will be at the forefront of designing and engineering cutting-edge structured cabling systems and technology spaces. • Spearhead the technical design and engineering for structured cabling, technology rooms, raised floor environments, backbone/riser systems, and horizontal distribution networks.
• Lead project implementation and validation efforts, ensuring robust cable infrastructure support for a wide array of technology deployments and initiatives.
• Take ownership of the entire lifecycle of design projects, from initial estimates and scope definition to the creation of detailed design and bid documents, bid analysis, and the administration of RFPs.
• Conduct thorough field surveys and meticulously validate as-built documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Champion adherence to all relevant industry standards and building codes in every design, guaranteeing quality and future-proof solutions.
• Collaborate directly with a variety of stakeholders, including internal and external clients, suppliers, network and engineering teams, product/project managers, and data center/operations specialists.
• Proactively stay ahead of the curve on evolving technologies and industry trends, leveraging your knowledge to support organizational goals and drive innovation.
• Adapt designs creatively to overcome unique installation challenges and meet specific client requirements.

• Required: Active RCDD certification, demonstrating a deep understanding of structured cabling principles.
• Solid knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply relevant building codes and regulations.

• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, enabling clear and effective communication across diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams of varying sizes and across multiple project sites.
• Familiarity with Wide Area Networking, Data and IP Networks, and Voice technologies is highly valued.
• Demonstrated experience participating in the design and/or implementation of significant IT projects.
• Exposure to process re-engineering methodologies (e.g., ITIL, Six Sigma, MOF/MSF) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of relevant ISO/IEC, CENELEC, and BICSI structured cabling standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for design and documentation.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel to client sites and work ONSITE as required.
• A clean driving record and valid driver's license.
• Ability to successfully pass drug screening and background checks.
• Physical capability to move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs and comfortably work at heights of 3-40 ft, including climbing ladders.
