Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid)
Duration/Term: Long-Term Contract


Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead strategic initiatives within the Financial Services sector. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in control-related functions and bring a deep understanding of risk, governance, and cross-functional process delivery. This role demands strong business acumen, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to manage global project teams in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive end-to-end project execution in line with control frameworks and business requirements
  • Coordinate across multiple departments to align goals and resolve dependencies
  • Monitor and report project risks, issues, and progress to senior stakeholders
  • Ensure adherence to compliance, risk, and data governance standards
  • Facilitate meetings, produce project documentation, and support change management initiatives
  • Champion project delivery best practices while managing competing priorities
  • Collaborate across time zones with global teams to deliver milestones on schedule


Required Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or a related field
  • 5+ years in a control-oriented role within the Financial Services or Banking domain
  • Understanding of Data Fabric, Risk and Controls frameworks, and compliance principles
  • Proven ability to quickly grasp functional interdependencies across business units
  • Experience working in virtual, global teams and managing stakeholder expectations
  • Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities with a quality-first mindset
  • Excellent written, verbal, and analytical communication skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid)
  • Experience with enterprise governance tools or control frameworks
  • Background in highly regulated or financial institutions
