Job Responsibilities
Oversee and manage a portfolio of security projects and provide support to senior management in developing strategies and facilitating priorities.
Ensure effective collaboration among operating agency stakeholders.
Monitor and track project tasks and progress.
Support project managers advancing initiatives.
Assist in the development of security initiatives, policies, and procedures.
Manage comprehensive project coordination with strong emphasis on:
Budget management
Scope development
Executive-level presentation development
Monitor and track security needs ensuring projects align with:
Established timelines
Financial constraints
Security standards
Prepare executive-level presentations.
Facilitate discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
Track progress against milestones ensuring alignment with departmental objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including:
IT
Procurement
Legal
Other internal departments
Conduct market research and analysis to identify:
Emerging technologies
Qualified security vendors
Security vendors based on vendor evaluation
Recommend emerging technologies including:
AI surveillance
Security analytics tools
Support tracking and reporting on tactical programs such as:
Drones
Deployable camera development
Tactical security programs (as required)
Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and prepare financial reports ensuring:
Alignment with funding allocations
Cost control measures
Accurate budget tracking and reporting
Support evaluation and improvement of security programs by:
Assisting in performance reviews
Identifying areas for enhancement
Assist in developing and managing a video library including:
Tracking footage for operational insights
Incident documentation
Incident tracking for investigations and reporting
Provide regular project updates to leadership and track performance metrics.
Job Requirements
This position requires onsite presence at various operating locations within the Service Territory.
After 30 days from hire date, employee becomes eligible for one telework day per week.
Candidates may be required to:
Travel to operating offices or field locations as needed
Work a flexible schedule not exceeding 37.5 hours per week, up to 48 weeks per year.
Minimum of 1 – 3 years of professional work experience in:
Project coordination or project management role
Physical security or technical system deployment
General familiarity and understanding of:
Project management principles
Video management systems and security cameras
Electrical principles in security / low voltage systems
Engineering design cycle
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
General understanding of Basic IT communication and networking concepts including:
Protocols
Encryption
Virtual Private Networking (VPN)
Operating Systems (OS)
Computer resource allocation
Networking and security system communication
Must possess:
Valid US Driver License
Valid US Driver License (Driver License is mandatory)
Preferred certification:
Lean Six Sigma
Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in one of the following or similar technical disciplines:
Project Management
Engineering
Computer Science
Information Science or Systems
Information Science or Systems
Applicable technical discipline
Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in the listed areas or similar applicable fields.
