Description

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented mid-level MQ Administrator to join our team in Ashburn, VA to begin an exciting and challenging career.

Job Responsibilities:
  • IBM MQ queue manager administration, trouble shooting, configuration and on call support as needed.
  • Installation, configuration, and administration of IBM MQ queue managers on distributed platform.
  • You will provide on call support as needed to diagnose and rectify issue related to queue managers.
  • You will also be responsible for clearly document requirements, design, and operation procedures for queue managers.
  • Need experience with ActiveMQ Classic/Artemis with administration, trouble shooting, configuration etc.(A Plus)

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:
  • BS Degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc) with 5+ years of technical experience
  • Strong foundation of MQ knowledge.
  • Must have expert knowledge of IBM MQ on distributed platforms.
  • Must have skills in diagnosing issues related to IBM MQ queue managers.
  • Strong background with Apache ActiveMQ.
  • Must have good knowledge of UNIX operating system and scripting languages (bash/korn shell, expect).
  • Knowledge of Java and JMS and REST interface is preferred.


Customer Requirements:
  • Clearance - Ability to obtain and hold a public trust position and favorable suitability based on a CBP Background Investigation
  • Location - 2-3 days onsite in Ashburn, VA. All candidates must be within the GWA/commutable area. This team also has an on-call rotation which includes carrying the duty phone.
