Job Title: SAP FICO Consultant

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)

Employment Type: W2 Only

Duration: 12+ Months

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Consultant to lead our S/4HANA Finance transformation for Wakefern's enterprise systems. You will architect end-to-end financial solutions, drive process optimization, and serve as the single point of contact for all finance stream activities in this large-scale implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all phases of S/4HANA Finance implementation from blueprinting to deployment
  • Configure core FICO modules: GL, AP, AR, AA, CCA, PCA, Product Costing
  • Design integrated solutions with SAP MM, SD, PP and supply chain modules
  • Develop RICEFW objects and oversee custom development requirements
  • Implement Material Ledger and actual costing functionality
  • Optimize financial close and cost management processes
  • Conduct Fit/GAP analysis and drive process standardization
  • Lead discovery workshops with finance and operational teams
  • Translate business requirements into SAP best practice solutions
  • Design profitability analysis frameworks for CPG/retail operations
  • Serve as primary finance stream liaison between business and IT
  • Coordinate activities across systems integrators and internal teams
  • Present solutions to senior leadership with ROI justification
  • Train super users and develop comprehensive documentation
  • Configure S/4HANA Finance with Fiori-based processes
  • Troubleshoot integration issues with ABAP debugging skills
  • Implement regulatory compliance features (tax, GAAP, IFRS)
  • Guide data migration strategy for financial objects

Required Qualifications:

  • 12+ years SAP FICO experience with 2+ full S/4HANA implementations
  • Retail/CPG/wholesale industry experience (grocery preferred)
  • Expert-level configuration skills in:
    • S/4HANA Finance (GL, AP, AR, AA, ML)
    • Controlling (CCA, PCA, Product Costing)
    • Fiori apps for financial processes
  • Proven integration experience with SAP MM/SD/PP
  • Strong understanding of ABAP technical capabilities
  • Experience leading business process transformation
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Wakefern or grocery cooperative business knowledge
  • SAP S/4HANA certification
  • Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud
  • Knowledge of retail-specific processes (vendor rebates, POS data)
