Position Title: Design Release Engineer, Air Intake System
Location: Onsite. Auburn Hills, MI.
Travel: Required to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.

The Air Intake System Product Design and Release Engineer will design, develop and validate air intake systems for internal combustion engine and hybrid electrified vehicles. Components include various types of low-pressure clean and dirty side ducts, air cleaners, make-up air hoses, and other related items including resonators, air filters, and brackets. High pressure charge ducts may also be included. Candidate will be responsible for a set of air intake systems potentially in any/all stages of development. This includes early packaging, design and execution of components to meet air intake system, engine, and vehicle level functional objectives. Some domestic and international travel (generally between the United States, Canada, and Mexico) to Supplier and Corporate vehicle or engine assembly plants, proving grounds, and/or technical centers required.

Qualifications:
- Will be required to drive a company or rental car.
- A valid drivers license is required as well as a clean driving record.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accredited program.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to lead and manage Suppliers.
- Must be able to manage multiple concurrent activities.
- Working knowledge of air intake systems and components.
- Ability to proactively communicate with others - including teammates, stakeholders and supervisor.
- Ability to effectively operate independently in a remote or hybrid office/remote workplace.
- General knowledge of CAD design.
- General knowledge of spreadsheets and building presentations.
- Ability to create and apply component and system DFMEAs and DVP&Rs.
- Knowledge in CATIA V5, Unigraphics NX, Vis Mockup, TeamCenter, and PDFs Microsoft or Google Office Products.
