Job Details

Requirements:

  • 7 10 or more years of DBA experience, especially with DB2 Z/OS and LUW
  • Secondary knowledge of SQL Server and Snowflake
  • Strong in SQL, Stored Procedures, and database performance tuning
  • Familiarity with tools like Cron, JCL, BMC Mainview, SPF Editor, VI Editor
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with Windows, Linux/Unix, and z/OS
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities:

  • Manage full lifecycle support of DB2 Z/OS & LUW environments
  • Provide secondary support for SQL Server and Snowflake
  • Design, implement, and maintain both on-prem and cloud database platforms
  • Optimize database performance, backup, recovery, and disaster planning
  • Enforce security, data governance, and compliance policies
  • Troubleshoot incidents, support project teams, and handle database upgrades
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors for system reliability
