Join a dynamic team dedicated to ensuring the seamless operation of IT applications across diverse environments, including local, cloud-based, and virtualized platforms. We are seeking a skilled professional to enhance our monitoring and event management solutions, ensuring they meet the high demands of distributed applications.

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Pay: $$40 an hour W2

This position is a contract-to-hire opportunity, where applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis and convert to full-time employment following the contract duration. Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance tools, automation, and frameworks that support monitoring, batch, and reporting functions.
  • Install, configure, and maintain all deployments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, including installing patches and upgrading software packages in a large, mixed-platform environment.
  • Implement efficient event management processes and automation to streamline operations.
  • Configure and maintain central monitoring platforms to ensure comprehensive oversight.
  • Conduct daily health checks and provide break/fix support for monitoring platforms.
  • Engineer and support monitoring tools, ensuring they meet organizational needs.
  • Develop and integrate in-house solutions to collect, monitor, and present data effectively.
  • Maintain and support third-party monitoring solutions, ensuring they are fully operational.
  • Troubleshoot issues, escalate incidents, and solve problems to maintain system integrity.
  • Design, upgrade, and support production monitoring tools to keep pace with industry advancements.
  • Periodically evaluate new batch and monitoring industry solutions and technologies to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of IT operations.

Experience Requirements:

  • Proven experience in IT operations, with a focus on systems administration.
  • Strong background in scripting/programming and engineering of infrastructure batch and monitoring tools.
  • Proficiency in Linux, Oracle, bash scripting, Splunk, Dynatrace, and Ansible.

Education Requirements:
Education:
  • A technical degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.


Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
