Job Description

Specialized position responsible for providing aftersales support for Cold Chain Managed Services and Cargo customers for cloud-based systems administration requirements. This includes but is not limited to performing user management functions, conducting systems onboarding as it relates to a per-platform functionality basis, database and information management, liaison services with both customer and internal network administrators, among others. Specific examples of these functions include:
  • Manage existing customer databases, device registration, features and user profiles in the Connect+, Digital Cold Chain, Oversight, and other future Cold Chain platforms.
  • Onboard or decommission customers and customer sites from all managed platforms using existing processes.
  • Process and validate various cold chain platform communication test reports.
  • Troubleshoot and respond to customer requests pertaining to user management and site communication to the monitoring center and verify the alarm monitoring service connectivity of existing customer sites.
  • Perform and demonstrate any recurring process called for in the administration of sysadmin functions as may be required on a per-project basis.
  • Suggest efficiencies and waste reduction measures in any existing sysadmin process.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to the supported platforms and serve as initial line of support for issues relating to platform administration, user and database management and network interfacing.
  • Work with the Hardware Technical Support team to understand problems relating to hardware interfacing of cold chain supported devices with existing cloud-based platforms.
  • Liaise with internal and customer network administrators and IT professionals to ensure proper configuration of network infrastructure to facilitate and support end-user deployed equipment interconnectivity with existing Cold Chain platforms.
  • Maintain existing process documentation and improve current and future processes related to user and system administration.
  • Assist Senior Engineer in the formulation of processes and workflows that enable the efficient handling of all system administration functions relevant to the platforms currently being supported.
  • Work with Senior Sysadmin Engineers to develop and integrate tools and utilities to ensure optimal delivery of existing managed services.

Basic Quality Assurance tasks to support the System Administration function
  • Peer Review as part of QA process for basic to more complex system administration tasks such as user information and system updating, Communication Tests, Site Set-up, Commissioning, Conversion, Activation, Deactivation and Technical Support
  • Customer complaint handling particularly, acknowledging customer complaint, validating details, initiating stop gaps

Trainings / Cross-Trainings
  • Actively participate in functional cross-training sessions with other business teams and/or departments to expand technical knowledge and skills.
  • Participate and assist Senior Engineer in knowledge-sharing initiatives
  • Assist Senior Engineer in training new and current team members on tasks
