"A Security Logging Specialist requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience) and preferred certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, GSEC et al.) Key technical skills include proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight, QRadar), understanding of network security components, log management, multitier application architecture, and scripting knowledge. Candidates should have 3-5 years of cybersecurity experience in areas focused on controls like security logging, incident response, forensic analysis, and audit remediation. Strong analytical abilities to interpret security reports and identify vulnerabilities are essential, along with excellent communication, teamwork, multitasking, and attention to detail. Familiarity with compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and frameworks like NIST and ISO 27001 is also important.
The Junior Security Consultant assists in the secure design and implementation of changes across various business areas, technologies, and platforms. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders and customers to help deliver secure solutions that mitigate risk and reduce costs. The junior consultant aids in ensuring system security and helps deliver product and project support throughout the IT development lifecycle. Additionally, the junior consultant works with change delivery teams to track security requirements and ensure a secure environment.
Key responsibilities include assisting in conducting information security assessments, supporting the integrity and quality of solutions, recording client interactions, and contributing to the success of Security Consulting services. Stakeholder management involves working with technical and security specialists, establishing relationships with key individuals, and encouraging innovative ideas. Decision-making and problem-solving skills are important for understanding business objectives, analyzing data, identifying potential threats, and providing solutions.
The junior consultant must ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
