Overview:
Our leading Media & Entertainment client in Orlando, FL is seeking a talented Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join their internal Data Platform team. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in software development, AWS Serverless architecture, and modern observability practices to enhance data quality, optimize infrastructure, and improve service reliability.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years in Object-Oriented Development (Python or TypeScript), 2+ years in SRE, and 2+ years in AWS Serverless Engineering.
- SRE Practices: Proven ability to define SLIs/SLOs/SLAs, lead incident response, reduce MTTR, and increase system availability.
- Observability & Monitoring: Hands-on experience building observability frameworks using metrics, logs, and traces with tools such as OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Datadog, or Splunk.
- AWS Expertise: Proficiency in deploying and managing AWS services including Lambda, ECS Fargate, VPC, Kinesis, and EventBridge.
- Serverless & IaC: Strong knowledge of observability in serverless systems and automation using CloudFormation or AWS CDK.
