  • Analyze and disposition hardware deviations, delivering technical solutions that ensure design compliance and product integrity.

  • Lead redesign and drawing revision efforts to improve manufacturability and reduce costs.

  • Act as a technical focal point for the qualification of new processes, supplier changes, and second-source suppliers.

  • Conduct technical reviews of design tasks, identifying and mitigating risks at component, assembly, and system levels.

  • Follow and refine standard work procedures, design templates, and documentation for recurring engineering issues.

  • Collaborate with suppliers, factories, and engineering teams to address design, production, and quality challenges.

  • Ensure compliance with all engineering and technical standards during design and manufacturing activities.

  • Support initiatives to enhance part functionality, manufacturability, and long-term component performance.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within turbine, aerospace, or energy industries.

  • Experience with manufacturing support, component design, and drawing revision processes.

Special Requirements:

  • Proficiency in CAD software and mechanical analysis tools (e.g., NX, ANSYS, or equivalent).

  • Familiarity with gas turbine design, materials, and manufacturing processes.

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across global locations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong mechanical design and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess design trade-offs.

  • Knowledge of design verification, qualification processes, and production quality standards.

  • Excellent communication skills for technical coordination with suppliers and internal teams.

  • High attention to detail, strong analytical ability, and organizational discipline.

  • Proficiency in design documentation, revision control, and engineering change management.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Additional Desired Characteristics:

  • Advanced understanding of hot gas path hardware and gas turbine components.

  • Experience in process qualification, supplier development, or manufacturing engineering.

  • Proven track record in continuous improvement and design optimization initiatives.

  • Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean, or similar quality improvement methodologies.

Work Environment:

  • Professional engineering environment within the Southeast region.

  • Hybrid work flexibility may be available depending on project needs.

  • Occasional travel may be required to supplier or manufacturing sites.

  • Collaboration across global engineering and manufacturing teams.
