Job Details

Job Title: Chief Engineer I
Location: Oshkosh WI
Duration: 5+ Months
Job Type: Contract
Maximum Submissions per Supplier: 9
Rate: $44.53

Location: Global Technology Center on the South side of Oshkosh. Must have at least 6 months to a year of current experience. Interview Process: HM will request interview via Teams. Work Schedule: Routine shift hours. Infrequent overtime, weekend, or shift rotation.

Top 3 Required Skills:
  • Mechanical design and analysis of heavy-duty vehicle components
  • CAD design and modeling (3D/2D)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Must-Have Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • Internship or 6+ months of relevant engineering experience
  • Knowledge of engineering standards and mechanical design principles
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks, CATIA)
  • Strong technical communication and collaboration skills
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Knowledge of automotive or heavy-vehicle systems
  • Experience creating layouts, specifications, and BOMs
  • Familiarity with design evaluation, reliability testing, and materials selection
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Support design, analysis, and development of heavy-duty vehicle components and systems
  • Perform basic engineering calculations, investigations, and reporting under supervision
  • Collaborate with engineers, suppliers, and business teams to meet project goals
  • Assist in preparing plans, designs, and technical documentation
  • Evaluate designs for performance, safety, and reliability
  • Conduct engineering analysis to support part, component, and material selection
  • Provide technical support for production and resolve design-related issues
  • Prepare and maintain technical proposals, reports, and presentations
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (Mechanical preferred)
  • Experience: Internship or 6+ months of relevant work experience
  • Technical Skills: CAD proficiency, mechanical design knowledge, analytical ability
  • Soft Skills: Effective communication, teamwork, and attention to detail
