Software Developer

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Software Developer for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in Richardson, TX .

As a developer in the Runtime Engineering team, you will work to design, develop, and support the platforms and tools we provide to service delivery teams, enabling them to run reliable large scale production systems spanning cloud and on-prem datacenters.

Responsibilities :

• You have exceptional analytical skills, able to apply knowledge and experience in decision-making to arrive at creative and commercial solutions

• You are independent and comfortable in a fast paced, ambiguous and often multi-directional work environments
• Manage multiple tasks and use sound judgment when prioritizing
• Collaborate with globally-located cross functional team in building customer-centric products
• Analyze existing software implementations to identify areas of improvement and provide estimates for implementing new features
• Update and maintain documentation for team processes, best practices, and software runbooks

Required Skills :

• B.S. in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Experience with TypeScript, React JS, and Express
• Experience with Software Development in a Linux environment, Shell scripting, Python
• Experience developing and maintaining microservices using Java and Spring Boot
• Exposure to tools such as Github, Terraform, Jenkins, BitBucket, Chef, Ansible, PowerShell

Preferred Skills :

• Understanding of principles of Continuous Delivery, DevOps, and SRE
• Experience with microservice based architecture
• Basic cloud infrastructure knowledge, preferably AWS
• Exposure to AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit)
• Basic knowledge of high-scale NoSQL solutions like MongoDB
• Understanding of compute, storage, firewalls, and networking fundamentals
• Fintech experience will be a great asset
