Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP UI5 Developer for a hands-on consultant role. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying SAP Fiori/UI5 applications that integrate seamlessly with SAP backend systems. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for clean, scalable code.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with functional teams to gather requirements and translate into technical solutions
- Integrate UI5 applications with SAP Gateway/OData services
- Optimize performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility
- Troubleshoot and resolve UI/UX issues across SAP modules
- Maintain and enhance existing UI5 applications based on evolving business needs
- Follow SAP best practices for extensibility, security, and performance
- Provide technical documentation and support knowledge transfer
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP UI5/Fiori development
- Extensive hands-on experience in Fiori Elements, SAPUI5 and SAP Business Application Studio
- Proficiency in JavaScript, XML, HTML5, CSS, REST APIs and MVC framework
- Experience in classic and side-by-side extensibility
- Strong UI/UX design skills and the ability to create visually appealing and intuitive UI
- Experience with OData services, SAP Gateway, and ABAP debugging
- Experience with SAP Fiori Launchpad configuration, user roles, and tile management
- Experience in BTP and RAP programming skills
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP Fiori certification or equivalent experience
- Any retail experience will be an added advantage
- BTP experience is a plus
