The Role
As a Windchill Architect, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership in the planning, design, and implementation of Windchill PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, IT, and business stakeholders, to ensure the successful deployment of Windchill applications to meet our clients' specific needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and design of Windchill PLM solutions, ensuring they align with business objectives and requirements.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and document requirements for PLM processes and workflows.
- Define and implement Windchill configurations, customizations, and extensions to meet specific business needs.
- Provide technical expertise in the integration of Windchill with other enterprise systems (ERP, CAD, etc.).
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and enhancements to keep the Windchill environment current and optimized.
- Conduct system performance analysis and implement optimizations as needed.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and best practices.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members, fostering their professional development.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to PLM and Windchill.
Required Experience & Skills
- [X] years of experience working with Windchill PLM, including design, implementation, and customization.
- Strong proficiency in Windchill PDMLink and associated modules (Change Management, Workflow, Document Management, etc.).
- Experience in Windchill customization using Java, JSP, Windchill APIs, and Info*Engine.
- Knowledge of CAD integrations with Windchill (Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
- Experience with Windchill upgrades and system administration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on detail and quality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to lead and manage projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Windchill Certification(s) is a plus.
