Job Summary:
Client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Application Support Analyst to join our dynamic IT team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support for our Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) environment, with a strong emphasis on identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement. You will collaborate closely with business users, functional teams, and technical resources to ensure the stability, performance, and optimization of our EBS platform and its interfaces with other systems. Work Performed:
- Provide day-to-day functional and technical support for Oracle E-Business Suite modules (e.g., Finance, HRMS, CRM) to end-users, resolving issues and fulfilling service requests in a timely and effective manner.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose complex application issues, including data discrepancies, system errors, performance bottlenecks, and interface failures.
- Collaborate with business users to understand their needs, document requirements, and translate them into effective system solutions, with a focus on streamlining processes and reducing manual work.
- Actively participate in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system efficiency, user experience, and data integrity within the EBS environment, especially concerning data exchange and integration points.
Work Performed (Continued):
- Develop and maintain documentation, including knowledge base articles, user guides, and troubleshooting procedures, with a focus on documenting interface specifications and data flows.
- Perform system monitoring, health checks, and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal system performance, availability, and interface stability.
- Assist with the planning and execution of system upgrades, patches, and enhancements, with a focus on minimizing disruption to interfaces.
- Develop and execute test plans for system changes, ensuring thorough testing and validation of both EBS functionality and interface integrity.
- Collaborate with development teams on customizations, integrations, and enhancements to the EBS platform, with a strong emphasis on designing and building robust, scalable, and maintainable interfaces.
- Manage and support interfaces between EBS and other enterprise applications (e.g., CCB, WACS,banking systems), including monitoring data flow, troubleshooting errors, and optimizing performance.
- Stay current with Oracle EBS best practices, new features, and technological advancements, with a focus on how these can be leveraged to improve interfaces and integrations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience providing support for Oracle E-Business Suite applications.
- Strong functional and technical understanding of one or more Oracle EBS modules.
- Proven ability to analyze and resolve complex application issues, including those related to system interfaces.
- Experience with SQL and data analysis tools for troubleshooting and reporting.
- Solid understanding of ITIL framework and incident management processes.
- Demonstrated experience in identifying and implementing process improvements within an ERP environment, with a focus on interface efficiency.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, especially in the context of complex system integrations.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Familiarity with interface technologies and data integration concepts (e.g., APIs, middleware).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Oracle Workflow, Oracle Reports, and other EBS tools.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PL/SQL, shell scripting).
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloud platforms.
- ITIL certification is a plus.
- Experience with specific interface technologies used at Middlesex Water (e.g., BPEL, Field work Process Integration Pack, Oracle Integration Cloud).
