Our Challenge:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented ETL SSIS Developer with extensive SQL Server experience to join our data team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). You will work closely with business analysts, data architects, and stakeholders to understand data requirements, build data pipelines, and ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and security of data processing.

 

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.

In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $100K-$110K/year & benefits (see below).

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable ETL solutions using SSIS to support data warehousing and reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with business users and analysts to gather data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Develop and optimize SSIS packages for data extraction, transformation, and loading from multiple data sources.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across different systems and formats.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data issues, performance bottlenecks, and errors in ETL workflows.
  • Monitor ETL jobs, perform capacity planning, and optimize SQL queries for maximum performance.
  • Create detailed documentation for ETL processes, data mappings, and workflows.
  • Support data migration and integration projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Adhere to best practices in database management, security, and compliance standards.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in ETL tools, SQL Server features, and data management trends.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience 10+ years in ETL development using SSIS and SQL Server.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL querying, stored procedures, and database design.
  • Experience working with relational databases, data warehouses, and large datasets.
  • Knowledge of data integration tools, data modeling, and data architecture concepts.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as T-SQL, PowerShell, or others is a plus.
  • Good understanding of data governance, security practices, and compliance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

 

Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience in banking, finance, or other regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and services (e.g., Azure SQL, cloud data integration tools).
  • Certification related to SQL Server or Data Warehousing (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Engineer, MCSE).
