Journeyman Network and Computer Systems Administrator
Location: Camp Smith, Halawa, Hawaii
Compensation: $70,000 - $75,000 annually
Security Clearance: TS/SCI


Currently seeking a Journeyman Network and Computer Systems Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in the National Capital Region, Florida or possibly location with TS clearance and SCI eligibility. The qualified applicant will become part of a vital role in safeguarding our nation's information with MPCO. The MPCO assumes responsibility for modernization, management, integration, operation, maintenance, and sustainment of the MPE capabilities, including numerous legacy capabilities. The MPCO also provides DoD-wide enterprise-level development, integration, systems engineering, and synchronized delivery of mission capabilities and DoD-wide enterprise services that support interagency, multinational, coalition, and combined C2I coalition information sharing requirements. These capabilities include cross-domain solutions, cybersecurity, and interoperability testing. The MPE is designed and optimized to meet the Commanders' critical interoperability requirements across all warfighting functions and allow access to information by authorized users. The MPE also provides users access to common warfighter functions and mission applications with the goal of a standardized network infrastructure.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the design and development of voice, video, and/or data communications networks.
Analyzes voice, video, and/or data communications networks, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, concentrators, bridges, and other devices.
Plans network layouts and configure systems to user environments.
Analyzes network topologies and traffic and capacity requirements.
Supports the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed.
May provide technical support and troubleshooting to users.
May perform network administration duties.
May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced network personnel.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
5+ years of directly related experience in network engineering.
BA/BS in related field, additional experience may substitute for degree
Must possess and maintain TS/SCI clearance.
This position is deemed a DoD IA Workforce, IAT Level II position and requires 8570/8140 compliance.
A valid Cisco CCNA certification
Must have comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network analysis and design.
Must have comprehensive knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, patch panels, concentrators, associated terminals, and related network hardware and software.
Must have comprehensive knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications.

Preferred Qualifications:
CCNP Preferred
Juniper route/switch knowledge is preferred.
Knowledge and experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting type-1 encryptors.
Knowledge and experience with CUCM and VOIP administration.

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
