Job Title: AWS Cloud Architect
Location: Canada (Remote)
Duration: Long-Term Contract

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Architect to lead design, development, and support of secure, scalable cloud solutions across the full application lifecycle. This role requires expertise in AWS cloud migration, enterprise architecture, compliance, and risk assessment while ensuring cross-functional collaboration with Platform, DevOps, and Engineering teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead architecture, design, and development of AWS cloud solutions aligned with industry best practices.
  • Develop and implement migration strategies for transitioning workloads to AWS.
  • Define architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices, improving cloud efficiency.
  • Create proof-of-concepts to evaluate emerging technologies and techniques.
  • Ensure solutions comply with security and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones on schedule.
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to development teams.
  • Conduct compliance and risk assessments, ensuring high-availability solutions.
  • Stay informed on emerging cloud technologies and industry innovations.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in AWS Solution Architecture.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in software development.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, OCI, Azure) and modern technology stacks.
  • Proven track record in cloud migration and enterprise architecture implementation.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, AWS CDK).
  • Skilled in Python, Java, Golang, or TypeScript programming languages.
  • Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
  • Solid understanding of networking, storage, compute, and virtualization in enterprise environments.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional)


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously and collaboratively.
