Title: Network Architect

Location: Dallas TX

Job Details:

  • Strong knowledge and configuration skills of routing protocols including OSPF, ISIS, EIGRP and BGP and IP Multicast (PIM-SM/DM, SSM, MSDP/RP protocols). Additionally, L2VPN, VPN and VRF-Lite or logical router are a plus.
  • Experience deploying Open Daylight or equivalent SDN controller and northbound application API integration, and southbound overlay technologies such as OpenFlow-based network deployments a plus.
  • Strong experience designing, deploying, and maintaining large-scale 802.11 a/b/g/n based Wi-Fi networks.
  • Must have strong hands-on configuration and troubleshooting experience supporting campus LAN network infrastructure environment for large enterprises, carriers, or equipment manufacturers.
  • Must have worked with Cisco routing and switching equipment for a minimum of 5 years (architecting or designing network solutions).
  • Must have clear understanding of current and upcoming trends in the campus LAN networking area, including Quality of Service controls, NAC and 802.1x, emerging wireless technologies and BYOD/security strategies.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of Cisco s branch and campus family of products.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of the current and future vendor campus product landscape to drive innovation.
  • Must be adept at taking business requirements and mapping them to technical designs for implementation.
  • Must be able to assist in resolution of complex issues during high pressure situations.
  • Must be able to communicate with a wide range of staff, from technology implementation through senior management levels.
  • Strong documentation skills and the ability to multi-task in an interrupt driven environment.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams and have the ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team.
  • Experience working under tight deadlines and high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to work initiatives that demand multiple consecutive weekend change control windows
  • Willingness to travel domestically.
  • Capable of quickly learning new technologies and procedures, as well as being willing to train others in procedures mastered as part of implementations.
