Job Title: AWS Solutions Architect
Job Summary:
As an AWS Solutions Architect, you will design, implement, and manage robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS) for federal government clients. This role demands deep expertise in AWS architecture, cloud security, and compliance, including handling of classified information.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design cloud architectures that fulfill government client requirements for scalability, security, and performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business and technical requirements; translate these into effective AWS solutions.
  • Implement AWS best practices for security, compliance (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST), and cost optimization.
  • Provide expert technical guidance to development teams, system integrators, and clients throughout project lifecycles.
  • Conduct infrastructure assessments, security audits, and ensure adherence to government cloud regulations and standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Keep abreast of the latest AWS technologies, security protocols, and industry trends.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience as an AWS Solutions Architect, Cloud Engineer, or similar role.
  • Expert-level knowledge of AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and related technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud security architectures and compliance frameworks (e.g., TIC, FISMA).
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with classified information and maintain high levels of security awareness.
Preferred Skills:
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) mandatory.
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience delivering solutions for federal government clients.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tools (e.g., CI/CD, Terraform, Ansible, CloudWatch).
