Cloud Network Architect

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Cloud Network Architect in Atlanta, GA.

Summary:
We are seeking a candidate with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), with additional exposure to AWS and Azure. The role blends 50-60% architecture and 40% operations. The environment is already established, so the focus is on reviewing, optimizing, and proposing improvements, not designing from scratch. The candidate should be able to oversee the current setup, suggest better approaches, and be hands-on when issues arise.

Key Responsibilities:
* Cloud Network Architect will review and optimize existing cloud network setups (VPCs, networking configurations, etc.)
* Propose architecture improvements for efficiency and scalability
* Hands-on operations support when incidents occur; able to log in and troubleshoot directly
* As a Cloud Network Architect, you will oversee and guide network engineers while understanding cloud architecture
* Act as a bridge between architecture and operations teams

REQUIREMENTS:
* 7-10 years of experience in cloud networking
* Strong Google Cloud Platform expertise (primary), familiarity with AWS and Azure (secondary)
* Hands-on experience with networking fundamentals
* Able to propose improvements and oversee existing environments
* Network engineering background with some architecture experience preferred
* Exposure to DevOps practices is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
