Job Title: Senior Salesforce Business Analyst
Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 Months (Tentative)
Job Overview:
A Massachusetts-based public sector organization is seeking a Senior Salesforce Business Analyst to support the Office for Refugees & Immigrants application development team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a critical modernization initiative that supports the development of a new immigrant information system.
The selected candidate will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, analyzing complex business needs and translating them into effective Salesforce-based solutions. This role requires strong experience with agile methodologies, hands-on use of Jira, and working knowledge of Salesforce system administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze business processes, elicit and document detailed requirements, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Understand and apply Salesforce workflows and processes to address low to medium complexity tickets.
Use Jira to create and manage tickets and generate standard reports.
Write comprehensive business requirement documents using standard formats and templates.
Develop and execute integration and user acceptance test scenarios based on defined user stories.
Provide application training and support to ensure effective system use by business users.
Manage change requests and offer Level II production support.
Perform quality assurance activities and coordinate with system integrators during SIT and UAT.
Lead and support a team of analysts in developing and improving business systems.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis, IT management, or related roles.
Working knowledge of Salesforce system administration is highly desirable.
Familiarity with large-scale immigrant information systems is a plus.
Experience capturing and documenting solid, scalable business requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Visio, and Teams.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Demonstrated success in multitasking and managing projects in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to draw conclusions and recommend solutions.
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
PMP, IIBA, and/or ABAC certifications are a plus.
Salesforce System Administrator certification is preferred.
