Johnson & Johnson Vision is recruiting for a Senior Manager Planning Excellence - Demand Planning. J&J Vision Global Planning Excellence is a critical component of the broader J&J Vision Planning organization. This role is responsible for setting the strategic direction of Vision Demand Planning, developing capabilities (People, Process, Technology, Metrics) and ensuring effective deployment of these within the business. This individual will lead the Global Demand Planning team, including statistical planners, data analytics, and reporting and systems teams. This role will also be focused on sophisticated technology-based capabilities as well as driving cultural change to gain improvement across critical metrics within Demand Planning.

The Senior Planning Excellence Manager-Demand Planning will be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing a Demand Plan maturity roadmap which is outcome-based with a clear linkage to value creation for the business.
  • Leadership in the evolution of standards for Demand Planning for J&J Vision including maturity models, frameworks, process roadmaps, process decomposition & metric standards.
  • Driving capability improvements through deployment of advanced technologies and internal/external methodologies to enable growth, improve customer experience, and/or drive end to end process efficiencies.
  • Ensuring the balance between standardization versus harmonization with business specific needs using a fact-based approach.
  • Leading the Global Demand Planning Organization, with a focus on strong regional collaboration and system expertise within OMP & Reporting Capabilities
  • Creating training plans to maintain and improve planner capabilities and skills. Works closely with Plan leaders to implement training programs.
  • Facilitating community of practices with key subject matter authorities to facilitate sharing of best practices, deliver training, and execute process improvement.
  • Owning demand planning analytics; develops and deploys a consistent set of tools to improve key supply chain metrics and support business decisions.
  • Connecting with regional leaders to ensure key workstreams in Demand Planning are understood and appropriately resourced.
  • Aligns to technology standards supporting the capability with IT & Supply Chain Systems Deployment teams.
  • Driving a connection between the Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Production Planning and End-to-End Planning pillars given the interdependencies between them
  • Motivating Change Management to ensure the success of critical Plan initiatives, considering the complexity of the Vision business.

Qualifications

Education:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required.
  • An advanced degree is preferred.
Experience and Skills:

Required:
  • A minimum of 10 years of related Supply Chain related experience is required with 7 years of Supply Chain Planning required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of people management/supervisory experience is required.
  • Experience in 3 out of the 5 core areas of Planning is required- Demand Planning, Supply Network Planning, Production Planning, Inventory Planning and IBP.
  • Strong background / experience in Supply Chain Planning processes and systems is required.
  • Ability to develop, coach and lead a diverse team of global leaders in the execution of strategies and realization of goals.
  • Ability to build strong collaborative teams and relationships, leading cross functional/virtual teams where required.
  • Ability to influence Director and VP levels within the organization.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills are required.
  • Ability to effectively lead projects and timelines with organizational change is required.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly, making the complex clear and compelling to all levels of the organization in both written & oral forms is required.
  • Ability to embed a culture of harmonization with process improvement and value creation across the business is required.
  • Clear understanding of external Supply Chain trends and emerging best practices.
Preferred:
  • Experience with Advanced Planning Systems deploys, specifically OMP technology is preferred.
  • Relevant mix of global, regional, cross-sector / cross-industry experience is preferred.
  • Project management and/or PMP certification is preferred
Other:
  • English Fluency is required
  • 25% travel
