Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Product Owner II to join our Agile team. The ideal candidate will represent the voice of the customer and the organization, ensuring the delivery of business value. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders, including business and technology leaders, to define and prioritize features and stories. The Product Owner will ensure alignment with customer needs and organizational goals, while also working with squads, technologies, and architects across portfolios to develop a deep understanding of the systems they support.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate to create product vision and align with strategic priorities with stakeholders.
  • Develop and achieve product-level KPIs in collaboration with the squad/team.
  • Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring clear and actionable user stories.
  • Set priorities and actively participate in squad/team quarterly planning.
  • Communicate expectations with stakeholders for delivery of new capabilities, features, and functionalities.
  • Work daily with the Agile team to clarify business requirements, remove roadblocks, and support alignment around product strategy.
  • Collaborate with IT and business leadership to align development and business goals.
  • Monitor and maintain product health, balancing long-term and short-term goals.
  • Analyze and report on feasibility, cost of delay, and other aspects of planned changes.
  • Understand regulatory and compliance constraints and prioritize accordingly.
  • Build the squad/team product roadmap and contribute to portfolio-level planning.
  • Lead customer-driven design and usability testing for the squad/team.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (business, computer science, humanities, etc.).
  • 3 to 5+ years of direct experience with Agile teams and 7+ years in business, technology, or consulting.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile development methodologies and IT project management.
  • Ability to explain complex ideas and designs to varied audiences.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to lead teams to solutions.
  • Experience in the insurance industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant products and portfolios preferred.
  • Experimental mindset to drive innovation amidst uncertainty.

Pay Range: $60-$100/hr W2 (Negotiable)


The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
