Job Title: Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer
Location: Canada (Remote)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and integration of Guidewire Insurance Suite solutions. You will play a key role in implementing PolicyCenter functionalities, customizing digital portals, and ensuring seamless system integration to support our insurance technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and architecture of Guidewire-based solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
  • Develop and customize Guidewire PolicyCenter and Digital Portal components.
  • Integrate Guidewire with third-party systems using SOAP/REST APIs, messaging (JMS/ActiveMQ), and batch processing.
  • Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support deployment activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Provide mentorship to junior developers and participate in code reviews.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of Guidewire applications.
  • Document technical designs, configurations, and processes for future reference.
  • Stay updated with the latest Guidewire advancements and incorporate new features into existing solutions.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter.
  • Proficiency in Java, GOSU, XML, JSON, and web services (SOAP/REST).
  • Experience with Guidewire GX Model, Product Model, and Data Model customization.
  • Strong understanding of Guidewire plugins (predefined and custom).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment (3 days onsite in Toronto preferred).
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Guidewire Digital Portal.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of insurance domain processes and workflows.
