Job Description Platform Engineer (Oracle/Linux/Python)

Location: Columbus, OH 43215 3 days onsite

Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize solutions in Oracle Database 19c including PL/SQL development and performance tuning.
  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT workflows using tools such as SSIS and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
  • Manage and support Linux server environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Write and schedule cron jobs to automate system tasks.
  • Develop and maintain scripts in Python and SQL for data processing, integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to Linux-based file transfers and system processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support enterprise-level technology solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with security and government regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, system integration, or enterprise technology environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database (19c), PL/SQL, and database optimization.
  • 4+ years of experience with ETL/ELT frameworks (SSIS, ODI, or equivalent).
  • 3+ years working with Linux server environments.
  • 5+ years of experience in:
    • Writing and managing cron jobs
    • Python scripting
    • SQL scripting
    • Troubleshooting Linux-based file transfers/system processes
