Role: Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) application administrator
Location: Houston, TX (4 Days Onsite)
Job type: Contract To hire
When we say application administrator, these are examples of the things we d expect of them related to their systems.
- Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Provide tier-2/3 support to end-users, resolving technical issues, and escalating complex problems to vendors or additional IT staff as needed.
- Manage user access, permissions, and security configurations in line with company policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, SOX).
- Coordinate and execute application updates, patches, and upgrades, including testing in staging environments to minimize downtime.
- Develop and maintain documentation for application configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
- Assess integration requirements between business applications and third-party systems, designing and testing interfaces to ensure seamless data flow and interoperability.
- Perform root cause analysis on application incidents, errors, and outages, documenting findings and recommending preventive measures to improve system resilience.
- Collaborate with infrastructure systems administrators to ensure optimal server performance, network connectivity, hardware compatibility, and resource allocation for business applications.
- Partner with database administrators to manage data structures, optimize database queries, perform data migrations, and maintain data integrity across integrated systems.
