Job Summary:

This role is a part of our Customs Improvement Program 2.0 (CIP 2.0), which is a transformative initiative to enhance DHL's customs processes & IT landscape, to ensure that our Customs activities are fully compliant and to provide the best experience to our customers.

As Principal Solution Architect, you are a seasoned IT professional with a minimum of 8 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a software architectural role. Understanding of system specification, configuration, data, and performance analysis across large multinational organizations.

We are looking for:

  • In-depth understanding and practical experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Event Management, and Complex Event Processing.
  • Experience in business process automation technologies and decision management platforms.
  • Expertise in shaping the architecture of new enterprise-level products using a Platform-based IT Services Model.
  • A strong technical background with a focus on digitalization and cloud implementations.
  • Proficient in analyzing and defining functional and technical requirements, with a knack for preparing architectural requirements documentation.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, understand, and resolve issues by comparing data from different sources and developing appropriate solutions.
  • Excellent strategic thinking skills, with the ability to conceptualize new technological solutions and products that address core business objectives.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ensuring the highest standards of quality in all aspects of architectural design and implementation.
  • Superior communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with both technical and non-technical senior management.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with partner/supplier systems.
  • Strong change management skills, with the ability to navigate the complexities of implementing new technologies and processes and manage their impact on people and the organization.
  • Ability to stay focused and deliver on organizational priorities amidst ambiguity.
