Job Details

Payrate: $49.00 - $50.00/hr.

Position s Contributions to Work Group:
  • Assesses the supplier quality and ensures that all the products are free from defects and are following manufacturing specifications and legal standards.

Typical task breakdown:
  • Lead Supplier and Part Development for Resource Industries (RI) Wire Harness, cable assemblies, bus bars, and connectors suppliers and parts.
  • Accountable for Supplier Excellence Recognition (SER), Quality Systems audits (CQMS), Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP)
  • Work on Non-Conformance Management (NCM) from ETQ system and work with supplier for Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) for closure.
  • Good working knowledge of APQP and TFC
  • Review PPAP documents for the parts for the assigned supplier from a manufacturing standpoint. Identify any gaps in the documents submitted and then do a review with the suppliers to update or correct it and resubmit.
  • Understand the manufacturing process of Wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, bus bars, and electrical connectors. Example; Wire cutting, terminal crimping, braiding, harness assembly, testing, etc.
  • Keen understanding of the technology Electronics & wiring harness components ie; ethernet, coax, high voltage, battery electric, etc.
  • Work as needed on Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) STOP capability, Built in Quality (BIQ) based on any Non-Conformance Management (NCM) against the assigned supplier.
  • Follow up on Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) for closure.

Education & Experience Required:
  • Bachelor s Degree in Engineering or related field & 5+ years of full-time work experience working with Wiring harness or Electrical component suppliers and processes.

Technical Skills:
  • Strong working level knowledge of quality practices, methods, tools & techniques.
  • Knowledge and understanding of APQP, Engineering specifications, GD&T
  • Production Part Approval Process (PPAP): Knowledge of Production Part Approval Processes (PPAP) elements,
  • submissions, and objectives; ability to determine whether a supplier can manufacture products that meet the quality requirements and standards of their customers consistently.
  • Supplier Evaluations and Certification: Knowledge of supplier evaluations and certification; ability to identify the methods, tools and documentation for evaluating, selecting and certifying vendors, suppliers and partners.
  • Previous Client experience working as a SDE is a significant benefit for this role.
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) from American Society for Quality (ASQ) / Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) from APICS / Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)

Soft Skills:
  • Needs to have very good communication skills to be able to work with diverse set of stakeholders.
  • Very good problem-solving abilities, analytical ability, process improvement mindset.

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $49.00 - $50.00/hr. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience and the benefits package you select. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
