Job Details

An IBM ESB Integration Lead is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of enterprise service bus (ESB) solutions, primarily using IBM technologies

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development lifecycle of ESB integrations, including design, coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical direction to a team of integration developers.
  • Develop and maintain detailed technical specifications for ESB solutions.
  • Integration Design: Design and implement integration solutions using IBM IIB/ACE, MQ, and other relevant technologies.
  • Solution Delivery: Ensure timely and quality delivery of integration projects, meeting business requirements and architectural standards.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues in production environments.
  • Lead and support during the Peak Season readiness and execution
    of following activities
    • Operational readiness of alerts, monitoring dashboards and
      SOPs
    • Shift and communication plans/ rosters
    • Performance fixes for issues identified by the testing team during
      peak readiness performance testing/ runs
  • Best Practices: Enforce coding standards, design patterns, and integration best practices.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and other development teams to ensure successful integration.
  • Engage Source and Destination Application support team through Site
    Ops team proactively to triage and resolve any issues.
  • Publish heath check on the integrations as part of the weekly stat
    governance report.
  • Develop SOPs and maintain them.
  • Support Grafana application for monitoring purposes
  • Partner with the Integration Core and Flex teams as part of
    deployments on Production and lower environments as well as cut
    over
  • Maintain DevOps ecosystem, upgrades, patching to underlying
    supporting DevOps applications, making sure scripts are maintained
    and ensure uptime

Required Skills & Experience:

  • IBM IIB/ACE: Extensive experience with IBM Integration Bus (IIB) and App Connect Enterprise (ACE).
  • : Strong knowledge and experience with IBM MQ (Message Queue).
  • Integration Technologies: Familiarity with various integration technologies like SOAP, REST, XML, JSON, etc.
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in Java, ESQL, XSLT, and other relevant languages for message transformation and flow development.
  • API Management: Experience with API management platforms like Apigee (preferred).
  • Cloud Integration: Understanding of cloud-based integration patterns and technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS).
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools like Jenkins, Maven, and Azure DevOps.
  • Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, Splunk and Avada Monitoring.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams
