Overview

Job Title: Data Science Associate Manager

Employer: PEPSICO, INC.

Location: 7701 Legacy Drive, Plano, Texas 75024

Responsibilities

Duties: Deliver key Advanced Analytics/Data Science projects within time and budget, particularly around AI/Machine. Learning models and data visualizations in scope. Partner with data engineers to ensure access for discovery and proper data is prepared for model consumption. Coordinate work activities with Product teams and Machine Learning Operations team as needed. Support large-scale experimentation and building of data-driven models. Refine requirements into statistical modelling problems. Influence product teams through data driven recommendations. Research in state-of-the-art machine learning methodologies. Create detail documentation and references for support and sustainment of developed models. Provide ad-hoc analysis as requested. Mentor and train junior data scientists and contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture.

*Telecommuting permitted 40%: Work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the PepsiCo Office in Plano, TX.

Qualifications

Job Requirements: Position requires a Master's degree (U.S. or Foreign Equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering Science (Data Science), Data Science or Mathematics and five (5) years of experience in job offered or related role. Must have four (4) years' experience with: SQL & Database Management-Leveraging SQL queries to extract and manage data efficiently; Programming in Python and R - Developing models and performing data cleaning tasks; Data Visualization with Libraries and Tools - Creating visualizations using libraries such as Matplotlib, Plotly, ggplot, Seaborn, and tools like Excel; Supervised Machine Learning and Modelling - Building predictive models using algorithms like XGBoost, LightGBM, and Random Forest; Unsupervised Machine Learning and Modelling- Implementing clustering techniques such as K-means for pattern recognition and segmentation; Data Wrangling and Preprocessing - Using Pandas and NumPy for data cleaning, transformation, and manipulation; and Statistical Analysis and Mathematics - Applying concepts like linear regression and descriptive statistics (mean, median, mode) for data quantification and insights.

Salary: $140,109.00 USD- $165,000.00 USD/ year
