Description
We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Retail Tech Engineer in Los Angeles, California. The role involves supporting the development, integration, and deployment of POS systems within our restaurant technology initiatives. Emphasis will be on enhancing POS software functionality, integrating payment gateways, and optimizing kitchen system technology.
Responsibilities:
Enhance the functionality of POS software through development and configuration
Deploy and configure POS hardware and software to ensure seamless operations
Design and optimize the user interface of the POS system for improved usability by restaurant staff
Monitor and provide support for POS devices using tools such as Datadog
Collaborate with various teams to improve restaurant tech operations
Modify layouts and integrate menus in the POS software, and publish changesets.
Requirements
Applicant should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in a similar role within the retail sector is essential.
Mastery of POS - Point of Sale systems is a crucial requirement.
Strong understanding of retail operations and associated technologies is expected.
Excellent technical problem-solving skills are required.
Ability to collaborate with different teams, including sales, IT, and management.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Willingness to stay updated with the latest retail technology trends.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of data analysis and reporting is desirable.
Flexibility to work during retail hours, including weekends and holidays.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations.
Familiarity with project management methodologies is preferred.
