Your Mission:
As an integral part of Lockheed Martin's Computer Incident Response Team (LM-CIRT), you will work in the Advanced Concepts and IT Mission Area within our Corporate information Security (CIS) division. You will have responsibility leading a team that is focused on developing capabilities and maintaining infrastructure used to defend the enterprise against network intrusion activity originating from criminal and nation state adversaries. You will focus on leading the development, architecture, and sustainment of these capabilities.
You will lead a dispersed team of software engineers, architects, and administrators with the mission of defending the enterprise's computing assets. Lockheed Martin is a global aerospace, defense, security, and advanced technologies company with global interests. As the world's largest defense contractor, our computing environment stretches to every continent and houses cutting edge intellectual property.
The ideal candidate for this position has proven experience working in highly effective dispersed teams, is an advanced leader in the cyber security realm, is proficient in cyber architecture, software engineering and has a passion for innovation and collaboration. The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
Leading a team of software engineers, focused on developing cutting edge tools for cyber intelligence analysts
Making strategic decisions on cyber architecture; managing our grid of enterprise network sensors.
Developing a cohesive strategy for the utilization of machine learning and artificial intelligence.
Managing and maintaining requirements for enterprise level solutions.
Managing budget for hardware and software procurements.
Basic Qualifications
ship and Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
10 to 15 years of experience in software engineering, system architecture, or related field
Excellent technical knowledge of large-scale computer network environments
Deep understanding of network protocols and concepts
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, and scripting languages
Knowledge of cloud architectures
Experience with agile development methodologies
Strong decision-making skills under pressure
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams
Conflict resolution and performance management skills
Desired skills
Familiarity with containerization and security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR)
Experience with large scale log collection and processing systems
Deep understanding of network based sensors
Familiarity with endpoint security solutions
Knowledge of SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools
Awareness of current cyber threats and attack vectors
Experience implementing and maintaining security monitoring tools and processes

Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $118,700 - $209,300. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
