Job Details
Job Title: Principal Advisor (Employee Relations & Labor)
Location: Irwindale, 91702, CA (Hybrid TBD)
Duration: 12+ Months (Contracts)
Shift Timings: Monday to Friday (8 AM to 5 PM)
Pay Range: $65 - $70/Hr. on W2 (Without Benefit)
Description:
- Participation and occasional leading of the development and implementation of strategic and tactical approaches for the Company s overall Labor Relations Strategic Plan to include bargaining strategies.
- Gathering intelligence throughout the external labor relations environment in California and Washington DC, in order to present and discuss opportunities and obstacles which may be present.
- Works to identify potential/actual problem areas in the Company s labor relations practices.
- Recommends the resolution of various contractual issues with the unions.
- Manages various projects related to labor agreements.
- Directs research on collective bargaining agreements involving other companies.
- Partners with internal organizations as appropriate to develop and implement strategies and tactics to resolve issues between the Company and Unions
- Education Requirements: Juris Doctor degree preferred
- Experience Required: The candidate will possess five to seven years of experience in labor and employee relations and will have acted as chief negotiator in collective bargaining.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities/Workload
- Create and update employee job profiles in SuccessFactors.
- Develop and implement process for automation and maintenance.
- Analyze internal and external salary and wage data, and perform job evaluations and market pricing of internal positions including evaluating positions for internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Provide creative OU solutions on a variety of total compensation issues.
- Partners with various levels of management to assist in the administration of compensation programs.
- Support and participate in the creation and development of presentations for senior OU leadership teams.
- Provide guidance and make recommendations for the assessment, development, and implementation of integrated compensation processes and OU-specific policies ensuring alignment with corporate policies and guidelines.
- Analyze, develop, design, communicate and implement compensation programs including salary structures, annual salary and bonus review processes, pay equity, market pricing and job evaluations.
Required Skills/Attributes
- Experience with the SuccessFactors (SF) human capital management suite, including annual planning using the SF software or a similar online tool.
- Advanced Excel skills
- Seven or more years of experience in compensation administration.
Desired Skills/Attributes
- Five or more years of experience leading projects, including identifying, maintaining, and/or adjusting the scope and/or resources, and overseeing the formal planning, tracking, reporting of project performance and results delivery.
