Data Quality Engineer

We are searching for a dedicated Data Quality Engineer to aid in maintaining and enhancing the fidelity and consistency of our data.

This individual will be integral in ensuring the quality of data through rigorous testing, integration, and stringent control measures, while supporting all aspects of data consumption within the company.

This position offers remote setup with the flexibility to work from any location in Georgia, whether it's your home, well-equipped offices in Tbilisi and Batumi or a coworking space in Kutaisi.

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives in data governance including data preparation, masking, integration, slicing, and quality control
• Create test data sets for data profiling and establish benchmarks
• Test data ingestion pipelines, ETL processes and APIs
• Design and uphold data platforms and automation frameworks for data quality
• Manage QA environments and assist in developing CI/CD processes
• Respond to client inquiries concerning data quality and usage

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of engineering experience specializing in Data Management, Data Quality, and Data Integration
• Understanding of data ingestion, Data Lakes, ETL testing, and DWH fundamentals
• Proficiency in CSI/CD principles and data processing practices
• Skills in SQL and a basic competency in Python or other scripting languages
• Capability to work with major cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
• Familiarity with test automation
• Qualifications in Data Analysis and requirements validation
• Expertise in Test Case design and Bug reporting
• Analytical skills, excellent interpersonal and communication capabilities
• English proficiencyat a B2+ level

Nice to have

• Knowledge of data processing technologies like Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, ElasticSearch, Python libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy)
• Understanding of ETL tools such as Databricks
• Background in Big Data principles
• Familiarity with Linux and Bash scripting
• Experience in Data Visualization testing
• Previous experience managing QA environments
• Understanding of the creation and planning of Data Project Test Strategies
